Unlike "conventional" conveyor belts, which are generally made from
Rubber, PVC or PU and reinforced with 1, 2 or more plies of fabric, the EPX
range of conveyor belting are extruded from homogeneous, FDA and USDA approved, polyester and polyurethane polymers.
The inherent strength of these polymers is such, that the use of fabric is not required.
As there is no fabric reinforcement in the EPX.PL range of conveyor
belting, fraying, from which conventionally constructed conveyor belts at some point in time will
suffer, is no longer an issue with EPX.PL
belting.
Consequently, it can't harbour bacteria, since there is no fabric for the bacteria to get into.
This "fabric-less" feature, coupled with its high cut- and impact
resistance, makes it an
ideal belt for hygienic applications in the meat, fish and poultry industry.

EPX
is also available in several fabric-reinforced polyurethane versions.
Due to the extremely high cut- and wear resistant of EPX.FR
polyurethane, it can be successfully employed in hardwearing applications
in the timber, forestry, shellfish and brick industry.
